Believe it or not, a major factor in quelling my aversion to coming back to "cold" Perth was the thought that Mum had been in my house cleaning and organising my cupboards! I held onto the thought that coming home would be like a holiday in itself, discovering where she'd put what in the newly organised and cleaned cupboards. I LOVE MY MUM! And her Ian who picked us up from the airport and ferried us home to a home cooked meal and chilled white wine. Aww shucks, such a spoiled girl I am.

Fantastic sitting in the back of the car on the way home hearing the kids jostle for conversation space about the holiday. This, after having asked them, "well how did you enjoy the holiday?" to their answer, "oh....ok". yeah...arriving home in clean. bright, and really home, Perth must have shocked some value out of the holiday.
